Mysterious Universe - the great Aussie paranormal podcast and blog - has run with a story about people who report contact with insectoid beings both in 'UFO beings encounters and altered states of consciousness induced by di-methyl tryptamine (DMT)' [UFOMystic].

This is a fascinating subject, and I thought I'd give my two cents. Although these encounters may occur via several different means, there is a startling prevalence of these beings in the trip reports of people who have used DMT. The phenomenon is obviously not only limited to only DMT, but is also common in reports of alien abductions or encounters and in various states of altered consciousness. There is a lot of information around that claims there is a praying mantis race that are related to the grey aliens.

I suggest that the insect people that are reported by many users of DMT are beings that exist in other dimensions or planes of existence. Things like DMT, spiritual practice, and alien encounters can open these dimensional doorways and bring one into contact with these and other beings.

I'd be interested in hearing stories on this topic if anyone has any experiences. I would also recommend this website for information about the 'ant people' that the Hopi Indians in America are familiar with.
